I love Turkish food but I find the standard varies a bit in Melbourne. Antalya though is a solidly good Turkish restaurant. It's not fancy but it delivers well on all key measures. This is a pleasant space which is nicely ordered. The food is rustic in the way good Turkish food is but is consistently tasty. We had a banquet which had ample food and was very reasonably priced. Very nice dips and bread. Every dip was terrific. The bread was excellent as well. There were some unusual additions including beans and potato salad. Mains were great too, particularly the iskender. My family and I went to Antalya's for dinner last night (30/10/16).The restaurant was recommended by one of my daughter's who has eaten there a few times.I ordered the mixed doner, my wife the seafood doner and the rest of the family iskanders. The food came out relatively quick with one minor hiccup........ I had to ask about my daughter's chicken iskander which didn't arrive when the rest of the orders did. It was apparent they forgot her order but it arrived some 5 minutes later and they made up for that with free dessert to make up for the mistake.Overall great food, generous portions and very well priced. This was our 2nd visit there and I was a little disappointed we ordered a set menu at $38.50 per head it sounded great on the menu and we ordered a seafood plate to share between 3 of us which was extra cost ,unfortunately when it arrived it fell short the size of the fish was ok size wise but the octopus was the size of bait and burnt it was so rubbery and we only had 3 pieces on the plate 3 calamari rings and 3 prawns which were like a shrimp you use in fried rice . Potato salad was nice and again a small bowl to share with 4 people salad was fine shaved meat was lovely but the lamb shashlik was quite tuff plenty of dips & bread which is what they want you to fill up on
We arrived for an early dinner without a booking and were able to get a table as long as we were out by 7.30pm - not an issue.Sadly we were placed right next to the door and it was cold each time it was opened - and given there was a large group with children it was opened quite regularly. With no automatic closer it made for quite an unpleasant dinner.The dips platter was large we we couldn't finish it so got a takeaway container. The shared meat platter was nice but nothing special.Suggest you book and make sure you get a table away from the door

Have walked past this establishment for many years and decided to drop in with the family.We had a very enjoyable meal.The portion sizes are excellent and very reasonably priced.A good family run establishment.The menu is traditional and we had a variety of options.There is also a kids meal for the little ones.It is becoming much more popular so I would definitely be booking anytime during the week.Turnaround time to getting your meal is very good and they gave us some time between entrees and mains.BYO is an option too.
We went to Antalya yesterday evening as a family of four adults. Table service was prompt, efficient and never intrusive. The food was fabulous! Wine selection at Antalya is excellent and overall, it was a really good dining experience for us. To our surprise, the bill at the end of the night was far less than we paid for a meal in the city recently (which wasn't as good! . We will definitely be back.
We had a group dinner booking for 18 family members for a Sunday night get togetherThe service was attentive and the food plentiful and tasty. Nothing was too much trouble. It's a family friendly venue and was very busy on this Sunday evening. It's a gem and the locals must treasure it. Highly recommend this restaurant for your next event. Thanks for a great night!
It is nothing over the top but being a Turkish that moved to Australia i miss my cuisine and Antalya had most common home meals on the menu . The serve of dips is huge , enough for 4 people. +Kids menu Very friendly service . Good turkish coffee and baklava . Not overly priced . Would definately go back .

Came here with my family for dinner. Meals were quite nice and not too large, which I have often found when eating at Turkish places before. Service was alright, we came in relatively late so they would have been wanting to get everything done in a reasonable time.
Beautiful food and great service. Was busy, but still got our meals quickly and we're well looked after. Would recommend this place.
