Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza Wantagh

First time using open table. Set up a 5:45 PM “reservation”. Got there at 5:40, had a party of 7 including my 87 year old mother. Was told it would be 15/20 minute wait, seemed acceptable. At 6:10 I ask again about our table, they say another 10 minutes. While waiting we are standing outside and my 87 year old mother is propped up on a bar stool. At 6:30 still no table, we told off the girl who was handling the seating and left. Seems to me this service is worthless!

The pizza is always good at this restaurant. The bar, which is right in the middle of the dining room, can be pretty noisy. The night we were there it was pretty noisy. Unfortunately, all it takes is one loud mouth the fill the dining room with his wisdom and he was there this night. If you’re looking for some place quiet, go elsewhere. The food, service and prices are good.

Anthonys is good, perfect for a quick dinner with kids or just a casual dinner. The variety of pies meets everyones wants. We got there and there were so many people. They honored the open table reservation time. (others waiting had just put their names on the wait list). The pies were fresh. Will def return.
