I had a birthday dinner with my wife. We had an early reservation so it wasn't crowded. Wasn't here before the pandemic and wondered if it was as good as we remembered. Thank you. We had the Lyonnaise Salad and the mushroom Ravioli as apps. Both were very good. I had the Steak Frites and my wife Sole. The cook there knows how to cook. Excellent. I'm usually not a dessert, but we share an apple cake that was delicious. And then the waiter brought Flan into her for my birthday with a candle. All in all, it was a pleasant dinner. The prices were also very reasonable. We'll be back.
I have eaten several times in this restaurant and the food is consistently delicious. However, the exhaust system is strictly substandard, and it was difficult to taste our meal due to the heavy cooking exhaust gas odour. Unfortunately, my friends and I decided that we did not return to this restaurant just because of the lack of ventilation. It is sad to say that the food is delicious and it is a wonderful place for a lunchtime.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. I almost don’t want to write this so it doesn’t become impossible to get a reservation but this is a wonderful, wonderful restaurant on all measures. If you eat out to impress yourself or others this isn’t for you. It’s a down-to-earth, great food, modest surroundings and genuine staff kind of place.
