It appears that they may have recently brought in a new cook, as my dining experiences have been increasingly disappointing. The last time I ordered shrimp, the batter was poorly done, leaving me with greasy clumps that I ended up discarding. I decided to give them another chance tonight with a burger, but I’m not sure which dish was worse. The bacon and beef tasted stale and looked unappetizing, and the lettuce was wilted. Overall, it was a total disaster. I'm feeling really frustrated.
I dropped in for a solo drink and took a seat at the bar. The wonderful bartender, Dolores, welcomed me immediately with a warm greeting and a smile. I spent about an hour there, enjoying some pleasant conversation. I must say, I was having a rough evening, but this visit truly changed things for me. We visited Applebee's on a Wednesday night hoping for better service. Unfortunately, we waited around 30 minutes just for our food to start arriving, and it came out in separate batches. It took over an hour for our entire family to receive our complete order. After our waitress took the order, we hardly saw her again during our two-hour stay.
The food is consistently outstanding, but I was let down that our empty plates were left on the table until we finished our meals. Our server and other staff passed by multiple times, but no one took the initiative to clear them away. Even the server who delivered our meals didn’t seem to notice the issue. I really love visiting this restaurant. Their chicken tacos are amazing and definitely a must-try! The highlight of my experience is the friendly service. I recently had a negative encounter with a rude server at another restaurant, but as long as I’m served by her, I’ll definitely keep coming back here.
The young lady who served us was excellent and kindly helped me with my drinks since I'm 70 and got a bit mixed up. The food was pretty good, though it could have been hotter rather than lukewarm. Overall, for 11:00 at night, it was a very good experience.
Everything is well-seasoned, maybe a little salty, but really delicious and very filling. I couldn't finish it all because I was so full. Honestly, this meal is enough for two people to share.
The Shrimp N Parmesan Sirloin was exceptional and cooked exactly as I wanted. I opted for garlic mashed potatoes and green beans as my side dishes. Réservez une table maintenant
