I really enjoy this restaurant, but tonight's experience was disappointing. Kevin Braxton, our server, was outstanding, and that was the only highlight of our visit. My group and I ordered popcorn shrimp, two racks of ribs with fries, two sizzling plates of chicken and shrimp (which were all cold and didn’t sizzle at all), along with spinach dip and chips (the chips were stale). While our server attempted to apologize, the manager, Jessica, seemed indifferent and had the nerve to ask if we wanted her to reheat the food, which was not acceptable.
Had a less than stellar experience on 11/8. The night started with a 10 minute wait to be seated. Followed by cold soup at the start of my meal. The waitress (Ashley) took almost 15 minutes to get to me to take my order. The hostess (didn't catch her name: who was awesome, energetic and very pretty) did get me my drink. Placed an online order and it would not let me complete the order with a gift card. Tried to call multiple times and only get busy signal. I have lived in Aiken 33 years and always had trouble with this Applebees. Just because I have a gift card giving it another try but how can you not have a phone line in service?
I arrived around 9:30 PM and noticed that two tables were occupied and there were a few people at the bar. We were seated but waited nearly 10 minutes without seeing our waitress, so we decided to get up and leave. This isn't the first time we've experienced terrible service at this location.

Awful!!! Stood for 20 mins while the MANAGER went back forth wit another EMPLOYEE about sitting me my party!! she didn’t even sit us! Put the menu silver wear on the table told us where our table was!! NEVER AGAIN!
The food was half done poor customer service and it was freezing cold and we was told we couldn't be placed somewhere else because the temperature was the same but we were sitting right in front of the vents.
The staff were amazing! They showed incredible patience and understanding. The manager was hands-on, assisting the team, and they all did a fantastic job despite being short-staffed.
Finally, a place where broccoli cooked properly!!! Thank you for honoring Veterans today. We appreciate it very much. The whole meal was awesome!!
