When I first visited to inquire about a job, I was taken aback by the upscale appearance of the restaurant. I almost felt out of place in my school uniform, as it wasn't a suit and tie. This Italian Ristorante has a very classy vibe. The Prime Rib is the standout dish on the menu, though I'm not sure if it's served on Thursdays or Fridays. Clark works the grill skillfully, using top-quality ingredients, and Carol is always courteous, ready to answer any questions and assist you at your table.

I like this place and have visited 3 or 4 times. The drinks are large, tasty and service at the bar is excellent. I have also sat in the dining room and the dinners are all very good. This is a red sauce place I don 't mean that as a negative. They have braciola on the menu! Know who else does? Nobody! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

There's a reason why they've been around for 84 years. App's consistently serves up the best Italian from New Haven to Arthur Ave. Huge portions, great value. Delicious food! I dined in for dinner and spent about $30-50 per person. The food was outstanding, earning a rating of 5, while the service was decent but could use some improvement, so I rated it a 3. The atmosphere was fantastic, receiving a score of 5. I highly recommend the Mozzarella and Tomato appetizer!

We arrived 15 minutes before closing, however they still served us a full dinner and dessert. We never felt rushed, not even for a second. Great Job!
