It all comes down to what you order and how you order it. I usually go for the spicy miso tonkatsu with thin noodles, which features a rich and flavorful broth. Another excellent option is the spicy tantan men; it has a sesame paste base, resulting in a thicker soup with a robust, earthy, yet well-balanced flavor. The takoyaki is spot-on, and the honey garlic karaage is absolutely delicious. If you truly know what good ramen and ramen shop food should taste like, then you’ll agree that Arashi is the best place in Washington. I also want to give a shout-out to the wonderful waitstaff. They are sweet, kind, and knowledgeable, so don’t hesitate to ask them for recommendations on the perfect bow...
It was fine. Went right before the dinner rush. The staff was not particularly friendly, but not rude. The busser just sorta put the food down on the table and abruptly left; seemed a little terse. The karaage was ok. Not great, not bad. The ramen was also fine. Bonus points for the price point. I wouldn't object if I were with a group that wanted to eat here, but not likely to go out of my way to return either. So yeah, it's ok; not bad.
It was my first experience enjoying ramen that wasn't from a microwavable cup, and I really liked it. I ordered it with medium spice, but I think it would have tasted even better if I'd opted for extra spicy. There was a subtle smoky flavor, and the broth was savory and hearty. I also tried the honey fried chicken, which was a bit salty for my liking, but would pair perfectly with a bowl of rice.
This restaurant was very speedy. I ordered the spicy tantan men extra spicy. It was very good. The heat was pretty good not overbearing but noticeable. I had it as a combo with a salad and appetizer of honey garlic karaage. The karaage was only three pieces and the salad was a little small. Regardless, it was tasty. Order the spicy fog frames as a combo with caraca and salad. It's perfect for couples seeking some warmth on a chilly day. Just take a look at the photos! The service is quick and very accommodating. I’ve already told my foodie friends, and we can't wait to return!
