Have been here twice now for New Year's Eve dinner, last night an early dunner before the Strikers game. Firstly it was great to find a place open for all day dining close to Adelaide Oval before the game. The American burger joint closed at 4pm as it was New Year's Eve which I found odd. Once again as our previous experience the food was with out fault sll 5 of us had great meals and drinks. The $15 burger and pint is a great deal and the burger tastes so good, moist, succulent with a great flavour and the chips OMG! the best on Adelaide. The crispy garlic beef tacos were delicious with the hum of the harissa aoli, the only thing missing was the coriander as apparently they had ran out. Whi...

Usually come here for a lunch with friends. I find that the menu can be a bit hit and miss for my tastes. However the service is usually fine though sometimes it can take a bit of time for food to come out. This time we ordered the salmon on couscous and the rump steak. Salmon was great, cooked really nicely with accompanying couscous, cherry tomatoes and prosciutto. I probably could've done with the salad-like dressing that was put all over the dish but it was fine with it. The steak was ordered medium but came out mostly rare to medium-rare which was unfortunate as they normally do cook it better than that. The indoor seating area can seem a bit dark but is nice for dates. The outdoor...
I attended the Acher last night with a group of 9 people. It was raining and the only table they had for us was outside. Kindly they offered to open the "library" for us to use as the top level was pre booked for a 21st. Instead of ordering individual meals we opted to share small plates and starters. Food came out promptly and was great! Please do NOT order the dips. I am a HUGE fan of dips but the 2 they provided were horrible, none of our group ate them :( I can't comment on main meals as we didn't order them but from what I did have I don't feel I need to go out of my way to eat there again.
For those who don't know it's been sold and new management have raised the prices on all food and drinks. I was caught out when I went in to get an Archer ale and was told they weren't making it anymore. When I ordered two beers and paid $19 I was shocked. Then when I checked the menu on the bar to discover the the cost was $8.50 each I questioned the bar staff. He said that they had not changed the menu yet. When I asked for my $2 he said it was to late. I and my friend will not be going back here ever again. Réservez une table maintenant
$9 for standard pints of Coopers pale ale, Food that was mainly inedible for the amount of GRISTLE in the steak sanger. 4 were ordered, when speaking to waiter about the quality He says he will talk to Chef, answer = "that was fillet steak sliced thin"We think Chef cant tell difference between Wagu and Wombat. The 4 other meals rated barely passable. Ok this was pub grub menu at $20 a steak sanger. For $20 I expect to be able to eat it, not leave the entire meat content.Verdict 2/10Recommendation absolutely NOT
My friends & I decided to book in for a meal before the footy today. The cold wintery weather called for comfort food so 3 of us ordered schnitzels & they were a huge comforting size. The Archer Parmy was awesome: bacon, caramelised onions, BBQ sauce & loads of cheese. My friend had the salt & pepper halloumi for a starter and said it tasted great. I would definitely recommend this place for their spin on the parmy if nothing else.
We had a meal here in the evening mid week whilst on holiday. Mint was very, very basic. I wouldn't even say it was cheap for what we had. The so called mixed mushroom risotto, only included one type of mushroom, the risotto was basic. My husband had the schnitzel which was dry. What pub gets a schnitzel wrong.
I had dinner at The Archer last night & it was AMAZING!!! It totally exceeded all my expectations! I had the vegetarian gnocchi & it simply melted in my mouth! Loved it! And the customer service was outstanding! Nothing was too much trouble! I will most DEFINITELY be back! Réservez une table maintenant
The food was fine and your typical pub fare. I was a little surprised how expensive the drinks at the bar, it was almost more expensive than the food!!!
I can see the beer is expensive, but wine is fine here, and you can get decent food at a good price. It's a good sized spot and pretty friendly overall.

"Had dinner here twice with friends, would not come again. Food was ok, but real terrible service. Not a single smile from any of Waitresses, served us with bad attitude the whole night. Also the food took ages to come, FYI we were their first group of customers for that evening, so don't understand what was the hold up."
