I've tried a lot of the Japanese restaurants in Adelaide and although this place definitely isn't my place to go, there are still some good things I have to say. It's a good place to go for somewhere more modern - and I feel as if their ingredients are incredibly fresh. The atmosphere is a lot more chilled compared to other Japanese restaurants - with nice soft music playing in the background. I cannot speak highly enough of Sushi Planet on West Terrace Adelaide. Incredible quality, prompt and considerate service, and completely professional. I have pre-ordered twice for dine in and pick up and on both occasions there was no waiting and the food was excellent. I was also discounted for my pick up order which I can only assume related to the online ordering not updating the collection time so they called me to confirm - which is not a hassle at all, I would rather my order be correct and I appreciate their efforts to get it right. One of the best mid range sushi places in Adelaide. 1) The quality of the serving ware and the attention to detail is fabulous. 2) The sushi rice is melt in the mouth top notch not a sushi rice making machine in sight. 3) The sashimi is fresh and delicate how sashimi should be. 4) NO train in sight. Love! I didn't like that there were rolls with cream cheese in because that is wrong on so many levels and too much like train sushi but there was enough on the menu to distract and they allow for replacements. I would have liked red bean paste with the green tea ice cream. Hope they add that without increasing the price. Will definitely come back.
we ordered a variety of dishes. The sashimi tasted fresh and was a beautiful consistency. we ordered the salmon and chicken thigh skewer. I thought the price of the skewer was a bit too expensive for the amount that was given. the udon was nicely cooked and the tempura prawn is definitely one of the best hat i have tried in Adelaide. we ordered the soft shell crab sushi, however it didn't live up to my expectations. overall, the food here was beautiful and also service was polite and quick. the decor and ambience also makes Sushi Planet a great place for a family dinner or a dinner with a group of friends.

It was a great experience in sushi planet, good food, friendly staff. I ordered the delivery many times, but it was the first time I dine in the restaurant. It was amazing.
