My wife and I recently stayed at the Ardencaple Hotel. There is no lift in the building, which meant we had to climb a thirty eight step spiral staircase with heavy suitcases to reach our bedroom, which was small but adequate. We ate in the bar all three nights of our stay, and it must be said, the staff and the food was very good and reasonably priced. And now, the not so good... The breakfast was another story, the cooked food was absolutely awful, being virtually inedible and cold, and the tables were often un-laid and dirty. How can the food be so good in the bar, but so desperately poor in the breakfast room I find strange, maybe they have different morning staff. ? On our last day we r...
