My husband and I were seated by the hostess promptly and professionally, then we waited for a waitress for what seemed like a very long time due to the unpleasant environment. We had to listen to an employee, Krista, trash the hostess staff and wait staff the entire time we waited. By the time our order arrived at our table we were so disgusted with having to witness Krista being so rude, selfish, inconsiderate and unprofessional we couldn't enjoy our food. I left feeling so bad for the hostess and wait staff to have been treated so badly. I visited Area 41 Pizza Co. for the first time back in July 2022, and I must say, the location is visually stunning, exuding a charming old village vibe. The food was enjoyable, especially the pizza—I’d definitely return just for that! However, the wings were quite disappointing; they lacked flavor and didn’t have enough sauce for such large pieces. The drinks were decent, but I wouldn’t recommend sitting outside near the door, as the flies were quite bothersome. We ordered a sausage pizza, but when it arrived, we were surprised to see that it didn't have any visible sausage on it. We asked the waitress if this was indeed a sausage pizza, and she replied that it was "ground really small" and that it was, in fact, a sausage pizza. While it did have a hint of sausage flavor, we could never actually find any pieces of sausage in it. It was disappointing, and we won't be returning to Area 41. Given the minimal cost of making a pizza, I can't believe they chose to skimp on ingredients to the point where it ended up being nearly tasteless. At the very least, with a $2.50 charge per person, we expected something better.
We entered the restaurant and were greeted by a lovely atmosphere. We were happy to see some friends and enjoyed a great visit together. The servers were attentive and genuinely cared about our needs. Our drinks arrived promptly, and shortly after we placed our order, our food came out perfectly cooked. Throughout our meal, the servers frequently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a delightful experience that I highly recommend, and we will definitely be returning. I ordered a small Brooklyn Hot Honey pizza, but it would?ve been more appropriately named if it was called Brooklyn Cold Honey. I ordered curbside delivery and the wait time was 35 minutes. I made it there in time and waited about 5 more minutes. The server was nice and helpful. I did not check the pizza until I got home and was too hungry to return it. I believe the pizza would?ve been good if it wasn?t stone cold?
We had a group of guys from Florida arrive without reservations, and the staff quickly rearranged some tables to accommodate us. We're really glad they did because the pizzas were fantastic! Our waitress, Sue, was incredible, especially considering how busy it was. She was attentive and made sure our drinks were always cold. It’s a great place with excellent service, and we will definitely return!
I recently discovered a new pizza spot in Mount Laurel, AL, thanks to a friend's recommendation, and I was really impressed. The food and service both earned a solid 10 from me. Although the prices on the menu are a bit steeper, I definitely plan to return. Just a heads-up, it tends to get quite crowded on weekends.
