Located in Mobile, AL, just off US-90, is Aroy Thai. This place has some super amazing food! For a a drink, I had Thai tea. I asked for a separate cup of ice (because I don't like super cold drinks). The server had brought a glass of water in tow for me. For an appetizer, my wife and I had chicken satay and fried tofu. They were BOTH very lovely. For my main, I normally stick with Thai Basil, but branched off this once and was pleasantly surprised. It was super flavorful and had just the right amount of spiciness, sweet and savory. The manager thought it was humorous that the wings were so hard it cut my daughter’s gums, he claimed that’s how all Thai wings are cooked so there was nothing he could do but these wings were beyond done they looked and taste like rubber he even kept asking did we eat any when his server and cook saw we tried one wing and couldn’t eat them he refused to remove them and continued to overcharge me for something we couldn’t eat. I drove a long way to be disappointed by the food and customer service.
I give this restaurant five stars across the board! I just stopped by to grab a to-go lunch, and everyone was incredibly friendly. The food was fantastic! I ordered the seafood combo pad thai without the squid (just my personal preference), and to my surprise, it came with a salad and a side dish as well. The spice level was just right; it was definitely hot enough to satisfy my cravings. There was only one other Thai place I used to dine at, but now I’ve found another one I love. Thank you all!
So I was in Mobile for a medical appointment and was heading back home. I was very hungry and saw this restaurant nearby. It was Friday and I decided to try the 3 flavor grilled salmon. It was delicious. I will say for those of you that do not like heat to keep to a level 1 or less. I had level 2 and it really made my nose run. But the rice and veggies were cooked just right. I tried this restaurant for the first time, as Pad Thai is one of my favorites, and I was very pleased with my choices. I went for the lunch special, which included the option of egg drop soup, a salad with ginger dressing, and Pad Thai with chicken (extra spicy). Everything met my expectations. The total cost for the meal, including water and tip, was about $16. I definitely recommend giving it a try! Food rating: 4/5.
Their food goes crazy and it is consistently good. The waitstaff is very efficient, and doesn't bug you too much. The dirty Thai tea is delicious, 10/10 would recommend. Also, I'm a vegetarian and I enjoy any of the noodle/rice dishes with tofu as the protein. If you're not coming here, you're missing out!Food: 5/5
I have been eating at Aroy Thai since they opened. I have always enjoyed their food. Unfortunately I have been disappointed the last two times I have ordered pick up. The masaman curry has changed. It seems 'watered down '. Did you change the recipe? Regardless, it 's just not up to par.
