I rarely write reviews but add this to ask the manager re-consider her approach. Quiet Sunday morning today, went in with a friend for coffee croissant/sausage roll. Food /drink were fine . But we left feeling we'd never return having been told off twice by mgr..... firstly that the cafe had barely enough crockery for inside let alone outside a simple no sorry would have sufficed) then told off for hovering to wait for sausage roll to be cooked could have smiled and said won't be long) . Customer service quite something !
After a lengthy wait, our drinks and food finally arrived. The quiche was served with a small amount of lettuce, and the Croque monsieur looked like it had been microwaved. My mom described the quiche as tasteless, and my Croque monsieur was not much better. The staff seemed uninterested and there was no atmosphere like there used to be. It is a shame because the location is great, but we definitely will not be returning. With a menu and service like this, it's unlikely that the restaurant will survive for long.
I was disappointed by the customer service at this restaurant. The lady behind the counter, who I believe is the new manager, was rude and disengaged, making us feel like we were an inconvenience. It was clear that this restaurant is not child-friendly. I would recommend putting a sign in the window stating that children are not welcome. It is a shame because the food was delicious. Thank you to the chef for the great meal.
