This place used to pump a few yea a back, we walk past every week and have noticed it isn’t as busy anymore. Anyway our usual Japanese was booked out so we thought we’d give it a go. Unfortunately now I know why it’s not so busy anymore. It took three attempts to order a bottle of wine. We shared a plate dumplings as an entree and although they were nice, they were also semi cold. There was three of us, I had a Chicken Katsu and the two others had different dinner boxes. My Katsu was just a chicken schnitzel sliced up in a plate with some iceberg lettuce. The two dinner boxes were very ordinary as well. We were a group of eight people and while the service was polite and prompt the quality of the food served was pretty average. My wife and I shared a sushi and sashimi mixed plate and a rainbow roll. The flavors of the roll were pleasant but the rice was not cooked properly or rolled tightly enough and the roll fell apart too quickly. The sushi and sashimi were a mixed experience. The sushi was not properly formed and fell apart. The sashimi was quite good. There were plenty of customers the night we visited and the prices were very reasonable. This, then, would be an OK for a quick Japanese 'nosh ' but experienced and demanding Japanese food lovers will find it disappointing.
The atmosphere here is casual modern dining, with some light and tasteful theming but not overdone. Well priced range of dishes, including classics like teriyaki chicken which are amazing. Moderately priced with a busy feel, its a great restaurant for quick meal with friends, but probably not for a quiet restaurant to spend the entire evening at. Once again the food is fantastic and well priced.
I've been going to Asakusa for the last 6 years, and even though I no longer live near New Town, still sometimes make the trek. The prices are decent, the food is excellent. The vibe is chilled don't get angry when the wait staff aren't attentive, just wave at them till they see you. Recommend the sashimi, gyoza and cheese stuffed steak.

You shouldn't have to walk to the delivery drivers car in the rain if you're paying a $4.50 delivery fee. The food was bland and over priced. The tempura was boxed with the noodles and delivered soggy. This place is a nightmare.. Never again. Do yourself a favor and choose a different Japanese resto.
very ordinary food. japanese food made with too much batter and designed for australians not good japanese. service was polite; the place was not too busy but first course took more than half an hour and then it all arrived fairly quickly. Noisy, so hard to have a conversation without shouting.
We have been coming for about 14 years now and still our favourite Japanese restaurant. Have always found the food to be fresh and a great variety. We tend to get the dinner boxes regularly and have never been disappointed. Also really great value for money!
The food was just okay and the prices were not particularly affordable. It was nothing to rave about.
