I'm so happy to have found this hidden gem! The owner is wonderfully kind, and I'm head over heels for the egg flower soup—it's flavorful and has such a fresh taste. The only downside for me is that it includes onions, which I’m not particularly fond of, so I had to fish them out. Haha! Other than that, it’s probably the best egg drop soup I’ve ever tasted. The food here is absolutely fantastic! From the moment you walk in, everything is prepared exactly as you ask. There are no dishes sitting under heat lamps, and nothing is cooked with MSG. The flavors are vibrant without being overly seasoned. The prices are comparable to other restaurants, but given the quality of the food and service, it feels like a real bargain! You might find the same item at another place, but you won't experience the same freshness, flavors that delight your palate, or the exceptional customer service. The food at this restaurant is outstanding! While the interior could use a bit of an upgrade, I strongly suggest opting for takeout. Make sure to try the Beef Chow Fun, Mongolian Beef, Green Bean Chicken or Beef, House Fried Rice, and Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. Their Cream Cheese Wontons are also amazing! I've been a dedicated customer for 20 years, despite the ownership changes. The staff is currently very friendly and efficient. It’s a good idea to call ahead and place your order so you can enjoy your meal hot and fresh when you get home.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, which was rated #1 for Chinese food on Yelp. The orange chicken was very bland. I also ordered BBQ, but when I asked the guy at the front, he said it would be BBQ, and I ended up with grilled beef instead, along with rice and chow mein that tasted old. I certainly won't be returning here. Hotoys on State College is a much better choice with decent food and generous portions.

First, the noodles tasted like pure flour. Second, the teriyaki chicken was bland; my friend who ordered tacos said that the teriyaki chicken tasted like just a mix of water and meat. Lastly, the orange chicken didn't taste anything like it should. I've never had such bad Chinese food before. My mother even warned me not to eat there because "there's a reason no one goes there"—I should have listened to her!
This is an excellent place to enjoy some tasty Chinese food, ideally situated close to Chapman University—great for students looking for a meal. I strongly believe in supporting local businesses, and I highly recommend checking them out for their wonderful food and outstanding customer service. They also offer ordering through Grubhub. Currently, they have a special on Vietnamese coffee for just $1.99!
My fiancé discovered this restaurant just down the street from our home, and she absolutely loves Chinese food, while I've never been a huge fan. She often raved about how fantastic this place is, so I decided to give it a shot... and honestly, it’s incredible! The owner is so sweet and clearly passionate about her cooking. Everything is made fresh every time! It's both healthy and delicious!
The food was delicious and offered at an excellent price! I ordered the spicy wings and fried rice, and I was thoroughly satisfied. The service was exceptional as well, with a very friendly staff.
