There is no Sushi here, despite various advertisements and mentions online of it. Seems like maybe they used to have it but not now. Considering we went here specifically because my wife wanted Chinese, and I wanted Sushi, it was disappointing. Another small family simply left when they found out. The food is good, with the exception of the gross egg roll (It 's a deep fried spring roll). Although it 's pretty pricey for what you are getting. The service wasn 't great. Nothing bad enough to stop me from going again, but it was a 'weird ' experience. We got there and there was no host to greet us. Finally a worker came out and we told them we had a party of two and they vanished. 2 other work...
I've eaten at Asian Star since is was a restaurant in the Canyon Racquet Club many years ago. The food has always been good. We went in tonight and the food tasted like they'd bought it frozen and heated it up. It was only half full when we were there and the parking lot had at least 10 stalls available. A year ago, you had to park down the street at a Church and walk there but something has happened to the food. I won't go back. Based on the lack of business on a Saturday night at 7pm, apparently others have had a similar experience. Sad. This used to be a really good restaurant.
Service is worse than in Panda Express. They don't speak English, so the will overcharge you, and will tell you that you ordered it and it is your mistake. No wonder this place is empty most of the time. The worse thing that even when you point them with the finger what you want from the menu, they will ignore you. Very low service, go to Panda, that would be better than this one.
I recieved a gift card and they refused to honor it. They said that it is from the previous owner. So I did a quick google search and google says thats illegal. So I'm deciding if I want to complain to the BBB or small claims court just to make a point. Its not alot of money but I definitley won't be back as I don't want to support crooks.
