For the second time in 6 months we booked a big table (14 of us), at the Atrium inside the Esplanade Hotel Freo..Mum's 90 and she likes the variety of choices, but then again she likes the choices at Sizzler too.. Soo maybe your tastebuds deteriorate as you get Older... Who knows, ill find out soon enough.The setting is still nice in the centre of the hotel, the staff are still great and the manager always has a smile and is always there to please... I had heard that it had changed hands recently and been sold to the Ridges Group and maybe that's Why the choices seemed to be a lot fewer than before... I booked lunch for a family birthday. The front page of the restaurant website stated $39 per adult for the lunch buffet which seemed reasonable, but for Sunday lunch the cost is actually $53 which is only stated if you view the PDF menu. This was disappointing to realise as this is just $17 cheaper than Epicurean at Crown Towers which is a significantly better buffet lunch with a HUGE range of menu options and a top end standard of food. The food at Atrium Garden was extremely bland, boring and does not compare to the amazing eateries in Perth now. We had lunch today at the Atrium Garden Restaurant as a birthday treat for my mother, and I could not fault it. There was such a great selection of both hot and cold dishes, and the kids loved the dessert bar! The dining area has such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, and all of the staff are so polite and efficient - nothing was too much trouble (even after one of our party had an accident with a jug of water - sorry!) We are looking forward to returning again. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!
Atrium is a light, bright, buzzing breakfast spot. A selection of fruit, cereals, bacon and hot foods, plus an egg station, tea's and a few pastries.Barista coffee is an extra charge.Its a little pricey if not included in your room stay.Quality of food was good.

We stayed at the hotel and ate at the Atrium due to being so tired from travelling. It is buffet style, but even the room service food was overcooked and tough. I wouldn't recommend eating here as there are so many alternatives within a 5 minute walk.
We eat breakki here on occasion when staying in the hotel. It's a little too pricey for the amount we can fit in our bellies, but the food is really good. FYI: coffee (Latte, Caps etc) are not included in the buffet rate, they are charged separately.
Brilliant breaky here...stayed at the Esplanade the previous night as we went to the Freo Arts Centre to see Madness...had a lovely breaky the next morning...however desperately needed the coffee!!!
The room was great, the staff were friendly and helpful...In the morning we had a very impressive breakfast...The best I've had at a hotel in a while.

Buffet range was excellent, went back for more.everyone really enjoyed the food. Breakfast buffet a little overpriced if you dont eat much.
Good selection of food with good service and excellent staff. The area is very clean and great care is taken with the service of the food.
