"Stopped here most evenings for a drink, and crepes did look popular, we missed out as we'd eaten before but have stopped her many times when in Montmartre staff always friendly, small place with limited menu but service was as quick as anywhere and friendly."

I ordered a crepe with cheese which I was told it was Emmenthal. The crepe I was served was instead with goat cheese and honey. It tasted good, and I politely told the waiter about the fact that it was really good but just wanted to let him know that it was not what I had ordered. The waiter’s answer was the rudest ever as he asked me what I wanted, he made me feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable as he said that as I don’t speak French, I should have pointed out on the menu what I wanted as he could not understand me. As English is not even my first language, I asked him if he would’ve preferred to speak Spanish or Italian maybe but he stated he could not speak any of those languages. I truly...

Place des Abbesses if off rue des Abbesses, right next to Abbesses Metro. Nice little park to the right. No overhead covering or umbrellas, watch out for smart aleck waiters. Not recommended if you‘re big on acting and looking like an American tourist. Rue des Abbesses is not super friendly to tourists, whom the locals resent for trespassing on their turf, so don’t expect the red carpet. Nevertheless, it is one of the nicest streets in Paris, once you sit down at one of the other cafes, with a glass of red, watch the moveable feast.

Very rude staff, the worst crepes and coffee in Paris. On top of that they claim that they do not have a credit card machine and they demand cash only. If you say you do not have cash they send you to the ATM next door. They are obliged to inform of the unavailability of the POS before serving but they don’t. Do not go there it’s a horrible place.

This cafe enjoys an excellent location. But Montmartre is full of cafes with good locations. Many of these have things that Au Petit Montmartre does not like friendly sober service, the ability to offer the dishes and drinks on the menu, and acceptance of credit cards. If you’ve spotted this place as you come out of the Metro, walk on.
