We have booked lunch at all the restaurants during our holiday in Brittany. Wise when we have seen customers turned away because full or past their service times. Today we saw several couples turned away soon after 13.00 and when we arrived for our booked time the restaurant was quite busy. Simple menu with limited choices. We selected a mid price menu and had starters of fish soup and andouille sausage. Both nicely presented and tasty. Mains of chicken and seafood risotto were both tasty and had a variety of tasty vegetables. The risotto was ‘deconstructed’ with rice, white fish and mussels. The atmosphere when walking in was that of a library. The welcome by staff underwhelming. The decor chic but uninspiring. The menus is limited but sounded like poetry on a plate. Sadly my seafood risotto was nothing more than boiled rice with a piece of white fish on the side. The three mussels presented with this dish were less than one centimetre long. That’s a crime in many countries. The coffee to finish was undrinkable dishwater. Disappointed is an understatement

Dinner at the Auberge on a Monday Night Flawless service, wonderful, tasty and very creative food „le jardin“ was great, but „le tartare de legumes glace“ hit it out of the park finely chopped veggies with a lemon/basil sorbet! main courses risotto and catch of the day of equally high quality and taste dessert, coffee and eau de vie de Cidre plus a pleasant and enlightening conversation with the chef… what a wonderful evening highly recommended!

Pulled into the local marina and were very happy to find this little restaurant. A friendly welcome, nice interior and extremely well prepared local dishes. The raw oysters rank among the best I’ve ever had. Pulled lamb was hearty and playfully presented under a teepee of filo. Ice cream was marvelous. A very nice surprise for two weary travelers.
