First time at this location. Went on a Saturday afternoon. Customer service over the phone and in person was ok. Restaurant was not that busy when I called or arrived to pick up my order. I ordered bone in buffalo wings and a slice of cheese pizza. Buffalo wings were amazing. However pizza slice seemed day old and stale. Portion size was ok, too big to fit in the box, I would not have noticed they provided me pepperoni vs the cheese slice I ordered had the slice fit in the actual container. They immediately replaced my order with the correct slice of cheese, however the cheese slice looked exactly like the pepperoni slice they replaced. Stiff, dry, stale, flat, and day old. Not at all flavor...
I originally visited about a month ago and ordered a stuffed pizza, and when I got home I realized that it was very undercooked. I discussed the situation with the manager of the restaurant the next day and they offered to remake the pizza for my next visit. Today I called and arranged for the replacement stuffed pizza. It was a noticeable improvement from the first pizza but something just doesn't seem right to me, compared to other pizza places I've tried with stuffed pizza, it's like the cheese is warm but not melted (I tried to capture it in a picture but I'm not sure that it translates well. Imagine of you will a pile of cheese that you left out in the hot sun, its warm but only some me...
I have now ordered from this location twice. The first time I got the entirely wrong pizza, and they promptly sent out a new pizza. I figured I'd give it another shot, but now they sent me the most burnt pizza I've ever eaten. How they let this even go out the door is beyond me, and they should really be embarrassed by this. I definitely will not be ordering from this location again.
I grew up enjoying the original Homewood brick oven pizza. Since moving to this area, I've been frequently ordering from the Winfield location. However, tonight's pizza was overcooked and had a burnt taste. My recommendation is to check your carry-out pizza before you leave. It seems to me that this shouldn’t have been sent out from the kitchen. But maybe that's just my opinion.
