Place was easy to find, very central in the town of Mackay with lots of parking all around the complex. Ordering can be done either at the table via QR code scanning and pay online or order via bar. Meal was well presented, although tasty in flavours but did not match up to the description on the menu. Spicy buffalo wings was not at all spicy; crispy halloumi was more like grilled than crispy. Nevertheless, quite enjoy the Austral mix platter with a variety of choices on the one platter. Staff at the bar was friendly but the waitress who served the food appeared to be somewhat annoyed. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend!

You simply cannot beat a steak from the Austral. Always cooked to perfection, with delicious sides and sauces. Every time we come back to Mackay, an Austral steak is a must! The service and atmosphere is always amazing and Roxy goes above and beyond. Thanks again guys for a great lunch
Spent the afternoon here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly staff, cold beer, proper air conditioning topped off by a wonderful meal. A taxi driver told me it was the best steak in town and it didn’t disappoint. Cooked to perfection and the veges were as fresh as. Thank you.

We had a lovely time again. Hate being seated next to the walk way near the area people order, but staff moved us quickly and without issue. The steaks were a little over done but in all it was a great meal and lovely atmosphere.
we waited for an hour for two steaks, which were so over cooked and cold we couldn't eat it. the poor service employees were so amazing and apologetic for it. unfortunately will not be back
a worker was very rude. when she bought drinks, she was abrupt and when she brought food to the table, they just fell. our steaks, where cooked. that was very disappointing.
Great service. Love the ordering app from the table. Also excellent service when advised of a minor issue with food as immediately rectified without issue. Food was great.
