Ayo Eat - Réservation de table

This tiny spot is easy to miss as it's tucked away in a corner in Victoria's Market Square but it's worth taking the time to find it! My husband came across it by accident one day and was compelled to bring me there as soon as he could. When we went we shared an order of Anjali's Spring Roll - Gado Gado Wrap. It includes yam and green beans in a flavour and texture combination that is surprisingly good. I had an order of Sate Ayam, or chicken satay, and it was very tender and flavourful. Ayo Eat represents the essence of the food philosophy that it is entirely possible that some of the most memorable and delicious culinary experiences can be found in the most unusual or inauspicious locations. This place is a real find... fantastic Indonesian food made by a man who is clearly passionate about his native cuisine. From the reggae in the kitchen to the reviews proudly taped to the front, if this place doesn't make you smile, nowhere will. I'm three quarters of the way through the 8 item menu, and so far everything has been delicious.

Ayo Eat is a hidden gem in Victoria. Though this tiny place has limited options of what you can order, each dish feels authentic to its Indonesian roots, and packs a lot of flavor. It's hard to find a place to eat where the food isn't somewhat affected by Western flavors (eg. "authentic" Japanese restaurants that serves Spicy Tuna Rolls). It is a take-out only, but there are plenty of places to sit in Market Square. The owner is super friendly. It is definitely worth a try if you are looking for exotic food!

This one-man stop shop has an amazing variety of flavours. Very large portions and very delicious food. The cook is super nice, and it seems he puts in lots of thought and care into his food. I asked him to do a little extra for me and he did so. Very kind~ If it's busy it might take long to prepare so you may want to consider calling to order your menu and pick up to go! Excellent food. This is a sweet, discrete and easy to overlook Victoria foodie treat. If you've been to Thailand or eaten terrific Thai food anywhere else it's found in the world then you'll recognize that feeling of bliss that can only be found at the best of these restaurants...Ayo Eat manages to deliver delicious Thai food in a small setting right in the heart of downtown Victoria. Not to be missed.

I literally just finished eating here, and I can still taste the fantastic Nasi Gorang! Cooked fresh, and served hot and spicy :-)This may look like a hole in the wall (an d it literally is!) but the owner, Bana, is super welcoming and will whip you up a **** great meal in a few minutes.

The food is always well prepared, flavourful, tasty and fresh. Even the day after, it is still a great meal. When in Victoria fom Montreal, it is difficult to bypass Ayo Eat and go to another place to eat. I always bring some back to Montreal.

Second visit. This time I had the Nasi Goreng Ayam. It was a deconstructed Nasi Goreng Ayam but well executed. Not Warung style but very tasty. Moist and flavourful chicken, deliciously fresh and tangy salad and nicely seasoned rice. Réservez une table maintenant

Honestly the best green chicken curry I've ever had Simple menu but so outstanding!! Came last year from TO found this Gem and was out first food stop as soon as we arrived!! Must Try!!
