I ate here for the first time with some girlfriends prior to going to the movies nearby. This is a quaint restaurant which is not particularly big in size but has a nice warm ambience & atmosphere & easily found a stone's throw from Taunton & Wilson.They have a very good menu choice with something for everyone. There are ample vegetarian choices including a couple of vegetarian set meals (which I hope to try when I return in the coming weeks).The prices are reasonable and value for money. Atmosphere was nice. Small place, service was prompt. In and out in less than an hour which would have been great for a work lunch except the food was not very good. I had the General Tao's Chicken. The chicken seemed to be mostly just batter and everything was covered in so much sweet sticky sauce that it was pretty terrible. It did have a little bit of heat but was overwritten by all the sweet. My co-worker had the Pad Thai and said that the chicken in hers was good but the sauce was not great.I don't know that I would bother going back. If I did it would be to try a different dish.
We have dined twice at this location. The food was average and skimpy. Not a place to go if you are quite hungry. I was not impressed with the service from the staff. I can't recall ever being asked if I was finished eating while I was still eating and had my utensils in hand. The server actually reached over to take my plate !?! It happened on both courses. Afterwards, I realized that their closing hour was about 20 minutes away and perhaps the waiting staff were commuting together in a car pool. Communication was poor and courses were not served as ordered, but came in bunches.
If you like Asian food, I'm sure you'd find this a delicious and wonderful experience. Since I'm so-so, I would say it was just "OK". Try it. Not a wow, knock my socks off. Good hot right off stove food. I went with Japanese slant, others were Thai or Chinese. Food came quick as place not full. Small place next to a Starbucks and a Popeye's Chicken. Mother in Law goes there with friends we we went and its fine.
Been twice now. First time solo and had sushi. It was good. Went back with a friend and had a lovely meal. Loved the soup! No complaints. I've enjoyed some of these dishes more so at other places, but the soup was the best I've had around these parts :) Réservez une table maintenant
