Being Hispanic my taste buds are trained to latin cuisine. I had high expectations after driving an hour for a nice Cuban meal. The live music was also an attraction. I will say that the guitarist added to the evening in a positive way. My wife ordered the ropa vieja with rice and beans. Her opinion is that it tasted like pot roast. The rice and beans were meh. I had the paella which was nice and soupy and had plenty of seafood. The overall taste though was also peppery and did not have the authentic cuban taste. I continue to yearn for a place to find the right stuff . There is a place in the city called Cuba which is absolutely the best but its just too far from Long Island and these days...
The food was good, some dishes better than others. The mushroom taco was good, but the mussels with olive oil and garlic too salty. The noise level outside was not fun—way too loud for meaningful, sustained conversation. As for service, just okay. The waitress had to be reminded to clear a mess of dishes after servicing dessert and after-dinner drinks. Who wants to enjoy dessert, etc., with a stack of empty mussel shells and dirty dishes around?! So that was the biggest drawback of the experience. Wait staff should know better. They also passed dishes over the heads of those sitting at the table, and couldn’t seem to be bothered serving near the person at right or left.
food and service was excellent. but it is a real shutdown when the host (owner? says I only have this table for them: this is a tiny 2 top in the middle of an empty space around 18 o'clock and then goes to 2 people on 4 tops, while the space remains more than three quarters empty for the entire 2 hours we were. literal empty, no person in a table.
Went here with my parents to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. It was great! The drinks were great and the live music was so nice. They even brought out a little treat for my parents, which was so sweet. Definitely recommend.

the food was tasteful, fresh and tasty. each from the hostess to the waiting staff to the barkeeper was super friendly and attentive. the owner/cook even came out to speak with the tables. great atmosphere and great food!
Food is always great but I don’t appreciate being in a time clock. It’s nice to be able to relax and chat after you eat but they make it clear you have to go!
Awesome Dinner. Great Drinks and Food. Service is excellent always. Very attentive Staff. Will return in the near future.
Food was delicious! Drinks were great! Fun atmosphere when looking for something a little different, but casual.
