I visited this small place from the city and ordered a brown sugar oat milk latte (7/10), a mixed mocha (5/10), a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant (9/10), a potato and egg taco (3/10), a red velvet donut (10/10), and a chocolate ice cream donut (9/10). I was a bit disappointed with the wait for the food and coffee, as some items were handed over to me separately. However, the atmosphere is great for a college coffee shop that is not a chain (8/10). I will definitely come back for the croissant sandwiches, which exceeded my expectations for a coffee shop. I suggest getting coffee and sandwiches at the same time. The staff was very friendly!
With all the hype, I think we were expecting something a bit..more? The doughnut selection was super small and mostly what you could find at any doughnut shop (except these were more expensive) We came at 9 AM and perhaps that had something to do with the low selection, but it didn't look like they were out of anything. The line was pretty long and the service was slow. They really could do with another register. Annnnd, this has nothing to do with the food, but the bathroom was icky not what you want to see in any place you eat. The doughnut and kolache we had here were pretty good, but the breakfast burritos were dry and lacked flavor!
I have had 100 flawless orders over the years until there was a management/ownership change. The new staff will make eye contact, then blatantly ignore you. The rude and dismissive attitudes were uncalled for. The customer service is simply poor. When the young Asian staff and his siblings ran this place, there was a warm and friendly atmosphere. The new staff must be overwhelmed or untrained because they are incompetent. It's disappointing to see this place go downhill.
I wanted to try them out because they're just the road away from my work. Finally, today and my only regret is that I no longer got, so I can have a second contract for later this afternoon. Food was great (Have a breakfast croissant sandwich and a hot chocolate), decor was cute, staff was friendly. Réservez une table maintenant
The donuts and Kolaches at this restaurant are excellent, as is the coffee. The service is provided by friendly staff and is top-notch. Be prepared for a potentially long wait depending on the time of day, but it is definitely worth it. I make sure to visit this place at least once a week.
