I believe this used to be where the Pacific Whey Company was located. In any case, Babette's reminds me of what Newport/Crystal Cove's definition of fast casual would be. Definitely priced on the higher end with some highs and lows. Highs would be thequaint/romantic ambiance, farm to table (fresh pressed juice and cocktails) great for catching up with an old friend forcocktails at the bar. The lows would be priced on the higher end, but makes sense for the location, not fully staffed/service(one waiter) and their steak. I would not recommend coming here for a real steak, but their appetizers (aka meatballs) andburger were delicious. See pictures.
What a great spot! Charming outdoor patio with blankets and heaters for the rare chilly California day. we went for lunch and they had a good selection of fresh omelettes, salads, sandwiches, and plenty of vegetarian options. good coffee, smoothies andjuice. Will definitely be visiting this spot again! for reference, I had the kale quinoa bowl.
We LOVE this place. Is a bit pricer than other brunch places but chic and with delicious food. My husband is crazy after eggs Benedict and his favourite are from this place. They have a cozy patio with comfortable chairs and provide blankets if you wantto feel warm on a colder day.
Always enjoy having lunch at Babettes. However the construction in the parking lot was loud. Would have appreciated knowing there was construction going on when I made the reservation.

We had 6 people and they pushed two round tables for 3 together. This essentially forced us into two groups of 3 instead of one group of 6. Unfortunate.
Babettes is always a great place to dine and socialize. Thank you Peter for the great service

I think the price fix menu for New Years Eve was to high $100 for lasagna?
