I've visited Bamboo Hack in the Bahamas over 30 times, and I'm excited to see their American franchise take off. The flavors are very similar to the Bahamian Bamboo Snack, although the roll is not quite the same. The interior was very clean and not crowded, but we did have to wait 20 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived, it was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious—the conch was incredibly tender, which honestly took me by surprise. I ordered delivery from this restaurant tonight, and I’m really glad I didn’t just rely on the reviews I read here, as I was very satisfied, especially with the entrée. I got the crunchy conch dinner with peas and rice, mac and cheese, and an order of conch fritters. The conch was incredibly tender and well-seasoned; I was amazed at how soft it was. The peas and rice reminded me of what I had in the Bahamas, and the mac and cheese was also delicious. I visited Miami after my 4-hour drive to a family member around the area. We decided to eat a little bit because Bahamian delicacies are rare in my city. I ordered the crack conch snack with the work(mayo, ketchup hot sauce above) I just missed the onions. This was the bomb that the Conch was not hard it was nicely spiced and fluffy. The part of the cone could be increased, but it was worth the trip. I washed it with the best beer of Bahamas Kalik Gold. The decor was clean, the bathrooms were well kept. The bathrooms are only available to be opened by an employee behind the counter. There were no towels to dry your hand, the only option was the hand dryer.
This place is the real deal! Authentic Bahamian food! The cone was very tender! the fritters was conchie! and the macaroni was so good! I'm glad I didn't leave South Florida without trying. There must be a Bahamian cook in the kitchen! I wish they would open one in the Orlando area! First time coming here. Loved it, decided to do Drive thru! Was treated friendly, and the food Was ready quick. Easy grab and go. Must try spot ! I love Bahamian food and this was everything I expected. SHRIMP was huge and mouth watering, and the dinner roll was a great add on with the fries. Conch was also good tender and fried perfect .
This was the place to go for down home food until they decided to now charve you for rice and all the sides that makes a dinner so instead of spending $25 for a dinner its now $40 well NOW you can go to Dwinkey's souce house and get a good Bahamian dinner without the extra $15 for marcaroni, rice and coleslaw shame on BAMBOO SHACK...
I ordered from this restaurant for the first time and spent $55 on conch fritters and crack conch. Unfortunately, it was the worst conch I've ever tasted. It had a stale oil flavor and there was more breading than conch. This will be my first and last time ordering from here.
