Banana Leaf Malaysian Cafe

The food at Banana Leaf is always delicious and enjoyable. My favorite location is the one on Robson because it has a lovely atmosphere. Be sure to try the sampling menus, which come in various selections and courses—they offer great value and allow you to taste the best dishes that Banana Leaf has to offer. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Vancouver!

My wife and I visited yesterday and enjoyed the seven-course tasting menu. First of all, the staff was incredibly accommodating; they even removed several chairs so I could comfortably sit on my scooter during the meal. The service was attentive, the food was outstanding, and the prices were excellent. We couldn't have asked for more!

This is honestly some of the best food I've ever had. The service was excellent, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the portion sizes were generous. I would definitely recommend this place—10/10! Plus, there were plenty of options for vegetarians.

The 8-course menu wasn't very impressive. It seemed like there were a lot of vegetable dishes compared to what you might get in a 9 or 12-course meal. I personally prefer the location on Davie for a better flavor experience.

The staff are helpful and friendly The food delishious. We go back fir the pineapple rice and now for curry chicken and ribs! I am a big fan of the chilli green beans now as well!

As for the food, it was disappointing; it felt more like Thai cuisine than Malaysian. The atmosphere was decent, but overall, it wasn't a great experience.

The food had amazing depth of flavor and a large variety to choose from. Service was excellent. Can't wait to go back and try something different.
