Bangkok Bay Battersea

I had a wonderful first date at this lovely restaurant last night. The cozy atmosphere immediately caught the attention of my date. We enjoyed every dish we tried, including the Bangkok mixed platter as a starter, som tum salad, green curry, pla rad prik, and sticky rice. Despite some dishes being labeled as "three chili" in spiciness, they were not overwhelmingly hot for both of us (a Vietnamese girl and a Chilean guy). I brought a bottle of Chilean red wine, Casillero del Diablo Carmenere Reserva, which paired perfectly with our meal. Although I didn't get my first kiss, the food and ambiance of the restaurant left a lasting impression on us.

I had a delightful dinner last night with my husband at Royal Taste. The food here reminded me of the delicious meals we used to enjoy at Sala Rim Nam Restaurant, a traditional royal restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. The green curry was outstanding, with a perfect balance of flavors and aromatic coconut. Despite being a small and chic restaurant, we were able to enjoy a selection of good wines. We will definitely be returning for our anniversary next month!

I’ve been in multiple time and the food is always good everytime. I haven’t been during a large rush so it is somewhat quiet when I come which is very nice. But it’s definitely one of the more authentic places I’ve been to so far in London. Everyone who works here is really nice and the owner is absolutely lovely and interested in me as a customer. Most amazing Thai place in London. Owner is very friendly! Pad Kee Mow noodles are the best you’ll have and the Thai curry is to die for. Vegetarian friendly. Welcoming. Satisfying portion sizes and they want you coming back for more.
