Returned for their Scallops and a gorgeously cooked Salmon as main. I've been here at least 6 times and never had a bad experience.The service is always smooth, professional without being stuffy. The food is Australian with a slight Italian/ french twist but only slightly so. Their wine list is excellent, (no BYO -pretty sure). was in banjos many, many times over the 30 years we have lived in sydney, it is a special place for us. there today for the first time since the end of the shutdown. we received a friendly reception and showed a table in the window. one of the nice touches was the waiter to bring out the big basket with a mix of warm broth rolls, no longer if we wanted a broth roll, there was a charge why I could ask that these costs were not incorporated into the meal that was not cheap. there was also a lack of attention of the staff, which is very unusual. that said I would still return, but it was very disappointing today.
we have been going to banjo restaurant for almost thirty years, all four generations of our family we have celebrated there engagements, weddings, birthdays and friends. and every time wonderful experience not only charming location and excellent eating, sophisticated and beautifully presented, but above all great service, professional and friendly, so that we feel very special. Many thanks for being there; we hope that our little young 1 year old will be able to have its high time at their place today!
3 of us had lunch yesterday. Wonderful views from Paterson's windows to appreciate the lovely day. The food was superb . The scallops big juicy , the fish , quail beef all perfectly done. To set our mind at ease they've moved the...tables further apart and so the views were even better than usual. With the excellent service it was simply a wonderful way to escape the gloom all around.

this restaurant is a juwel. ambiente, interiors are great, and especially when they are during the day, the view from the enclosed balcony over the bay is excellent. Meals are divine. a lot of choice, exciting menu. and a cook or server that is most attentive, comes for a chat and makes many jokes. great for big groups or intimate dinners.
we had our wedding reception dinner here and from our first contact was the experience excellent. it was a pleasure to work with robert and the staff to organize our dinner. the food was excellent and all our guests enjoyed it very much. That...the waiting staff was very close! We will definitely see again.
Tonight my husband and I were celebrating a special occasion in our favourite restaurant. As usual the food was delicious and well presented and the service was friendly and helpful.
The reviews are spot on, top spot, great location, excellent food well executed. Good service and easy parking. Value for money. Our waitress, Denise, was delightful!
