You all should be ashamed it's the least you can do!!! We will avoid at all cost!!! Absolutely unacceptable rude behaviour. I have never left a negative review ever but here it is. We went to this Fish and Chip place called BANKERS on 28/5. Least to say the experience was distasteful, disrespectful and rotten, of course we will never return back. We were 10 people 6 adults and 4 children, we asked for a table for 10 and we were cramped on a table of 6. We didn't mind as we were hungry and we just needed a place to feed the kids so we took that table. We ordered the food and drinks after speaking to the waitress as we were running short of time and we wanted our food quick, till this point al...
Total miscommunication with click and collect ordering. Stood in the queue for about 20 minutes to find out that our food was waiting ready. I had already asked about the code I was given online for the click and collect order and was told don’t worry it’s in process and would be ready soon. Can’t say neither food is excellent, but the ordering process is shambolic. Just for the record, there was no vinegar on my chips either, and we ordered the pot of tartar sauce to Heinz squeezy samples instead. Still, the cod and chips was very good. I should know, my dad was in fish and chips for 30 years.
This restaurant has got a name, however we dont know why. Its below average. The staff are rather bored of the costumers. We really had the feeling that they are just there to put a plate on your table and that is the most. Fish was greasy, chips was awful raw. We are sure you could do better both service and food quality wise....
This chip shop used to be great, but after our last experience we won’t be back. Service was slow 25mins for a takeaway, the staff rude at one point even shouting at an elderly couple, finally the chips were well below average once we finally got them. Why would you go here when there are so many other chippies to choose from?

I've been a Bankers regular for 10 years as I live locally. I just wanted to say the chips have drastically improved recently. They used to be too dry, too thick and too stiff. Now they're more like the fish and chips I remember as a kid, but better quality. Keep it up!
Brighton local and have been frequenting bankers for almost 10 years… however, the last 6 months something significant has changed.. The food seems worse and worse every time we go.. Whatever has changed, I hope they reverse it soon, as it’s become awful.
Pleasant walk from city centre and easy to find via Google maps. Good traditional fish and chips restaurant with takeaway and sit down options. Large portion sizes. Nice fresh fish. Batter was just right. Starter of squid was great. Service was good.

Brilliant fried cod, chips and mushy peas, accompanied by a nice sauvignon blanc, on a very blustery day. Couldn’t ask for more!
