Bao Chau Vietnamese Restaurant

I had eleven hungry people to feed at 8:30pm on Friday. I found this place on my GPS and It was much better than expected. Some had Pho, which was good. I had a type of bun which is noodles, ham on skewers and spring rolls which were excellent. the place filled up after we arrived so service was a little slow but not terrible for our size of group. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in town. Parking could be an issue. I only saw street parking.

I used to work near this place and it was a regular destination for lunch. The value is exceptional: not only is it delicious, but a large is like the size of your head and has lots of noodles, meat and fresh sprouts. The price is very reasonable: under $8 for a large. Tea is fresh and frequent and it's usually packed at lunch. The atmosphere is a bit diner but still bright and cheerful. Highly recommended.

After our Quarry Rock hike, we decided to grab a bite. We decided on Vietnamese at Bao Chau on Hastings and Slocan. It was pretty steady. The condensed milk coffee was good, as well as the soup base for the pho and the deep fried spring rolls. The other items just needed more seasoning.

Note- cash only!!!!! Always good to know this going into a place ;)Their pho is good. But we go for their springrolls!! They are sooooo good.They do close earlier than some of the other pho locations so you have to plan accordingly! You must get the springrolls!!!

Been eating in this restaurant for 5 years... It has always been satisfying. Delicious, affordable and generous portion. The deep fried spring roll is my favourite as well aa the pho and the pork lemon grass.
