Bao's Chinese Kitchen

Bao's has always been my favorite. As a former West Haven resident it was a staple for take out. I've never had a bad meal and the customer service was always exemplary. One evening, at 8 mos pregnant I stopped by, not realizing they were about to close, and the owner restarted everything just to serve me! My personal faves: Steamed/Fried Dumplings, Hot Sour Soup (haven't found one anywhere local that compares) and General Tsaos.

Hands down the best American Chinese food you can get UPDATE: I have been ordering from this place for 15 years and have never been disappointed. Their prices on almost every item have gone up 75¢ or more and it adds up quickly. Tonight, the fried rice was bland and all fried items were grossly soaked in grease. Sadly, I will not be returning.

The food is not only fantastic, but the service is impeccable as well. I was given a 30-minute estimate for my order, and it arrived just 14 minutes later—still hot! The staff is both friendly and welcoming. I would definitely give it a 5/5 and always recommend it!

Best chinese restaurant in this area !!!!! 11/17/2021. I take that back. Just ordered pork fried rice with boneless ribs. And omg. Rice was bland NO flavor. And ribs were salty! I read previous reviews it's a new owner now. I won't be back. Réservez une table maintenant

The food is fantastic, and they offer free delivery to my area, which is about a mile away. It's some of the best Chinese cuisine I've had in southern Connecticut, and the prices are great as well!

Excellent Chinese food The only thing is they either forgetting give utensils and your fortune cookie or they are trying to save it for less expense

The only time I go to bowels is when I'm drunk and not afraid of a cockroaches or whatever type of food a weather type of place to get in the food from

Decent place if you know what to get. Staff is nice. Recommend the Lemon Chicken and the moo shu chicken.
