Good luck finding a table here for brunch on Saturday or Sunday! There’s a reason why Contessa is so popular though, the staff are beyond friendly and the Grounds of Alexandria coffee is the best in the area! I only wish that the hollandaise on my eggs Benedict was homemade but if you’re not as fussy as I am about things like that, then you have to enjoy this gorgeous space in Balmain!

We were served by a lovely cheerful host on a busy Sunday and seated for lunch. Coffee was on point My friend and I both ordered the salad on the specials menu. Chicken Pesto and Haloumi. It was divine! Food and coffee took a while to come out but I could see how busy they were, so it was quite understandable. Overall great little spot for a feed and good food experience!

The food and drink was very nice. I ordered Contessa corn cake and seasonal fruit frappe. The corn cake was nicely cooked, with a mixture of sauce and flavour. I especially liked the hickory style bacon (I am a bacon lover :P The drink was fantastic. Nice and fresh : Réservez une table maintenant

Nice staff and food and drinks were all very delicious. <br/ <br/ 1 potato leek soup<br/ 2 prawn garlic spaghetti <br/ 3 risotto<br/ 4 kids egg and soldier toast with bacon <br/ 5 earl grey tea <br/ 6 kids milk shake<br/ 7 soy hot chocolate

Tasty brekkie and big portion. Coffee is good too. Staffs are friendly and quick service. It is a bit pricy considering it is in Balmain, the price is reasonable in this area cuz of the taste.

We have been in this place for breakfast and we have eaten The Farmhouse Omelette, Rosa’s Breakfast Bruschetta and coffee. They were ok, with a good presentation, but service was slow.

We ordered the Italian meatballs and eggs. The meatballs were seasoned well and juicy. However, would have preferred more of the delicious pesto to balance out the whole dish. Réservez une table maintenant

Such amazing food! Everything tasted great and the staff were all so friendly. Definitely recommend the Nutella french toast if you have a sweet tooth!

Beautiful presentation and great value for money for the tuna salad. Chai latte and banana smoothie were delicious too.
