This was a great dinner spot on the Friday night my wife and I arrived in Fairfax for the first time. It had all the qualities we were looking for, a great dinner menu, indoors seating, full bar, and a location right in the downtown area. The service was outstanding, with Tyrone taking care to make sure we were happy and well fed, and he was very informative and knowlegeable of the menu and the specials. Our family really enjoyed dinner. Their food and service were excellent. We ordered NY steak, Rum chops and fish chips. We were satisfied that each side meal's vegetables were seasoned with a different good taste, so we enjoyed all of the food there. In addition, their Panna Cotta is also really delicious. Next morning we went there to have our breakfast and to order Lunch box, because of their good foods and services. To enjoy their food, our family will surely go on a trip to Marin County again. There is lots of food on the menu, I want to try their Italian meal on my next visit.
Great menu and pleasant outdoor seating. We visited for lunch, but I was mainly eager to try the scone with lemon curd, which I’d heard rave reviews about. Sadly, they were sold out by the time we arrived, so I opted for a hashbrown dish instead. It was tasty, though nothing extraordinary. My daughter’s chicken fingers with fries were a generous portion, and the fries were excellent. My husband’s burger was juicy and flavorful. Others in our group ordered breakfast dishes that looked hearty and satisfying. A charming little place overall.
After our hike we stopped by to have dinner and we were so pleased with the service. The quality of the food was excellent very fresh and great portion size! Chef Alex really makes the food taste delicious you can tell he loves what he does! Ty was our waiter very attentive. Tony the owner even came by to chat with us and made sure everything was good. He made me a latte that was great, even had a cute heart art on the top! I will be back to try the breakfast and lunch menu!

After my first sip of this incredible cappuccino, I knew I had to share a review. The service was outstanding. My Denver omelet was cooked to perfection, featuring slightly charred chunks of ham, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. My mom's meal included a freshly baked currant scone with lemon curd, and we couldn't resist passing it around the table—it was absolutely delightful. We will definitely return for breakfast!
Barefoot Cafe offers absolutely delicious food with great vegan and vegetarian options. The staff are friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere perfect for families, couples, or even solo visitors.
