We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! We chose to sit at the bar instead of a table, and it was a great decision. The fish, mushroom, and pork belly tacos were all incredibly flavorful, bringing back memories of the delicious Spanish tapas I enjoyed on a recent vacation. The pork belly was so irresistible that I ordered a rice bowl featuring the same dish - it was absolutely delicious! They also have a fantastic selection of drinks, both Mexican and local. Overall, a delightful dinner experience!
The waitlist is a complete scam. We called ahead to add our name to the waitlist, as instructed by the restaurant staff, to inform them that a large party was coming. When we arrived, we were told we would have to wait an additional 45 to 60 minutes for our table. We have two elderly individuals with disabilities that we wanted to take out for a nice meal and some time outdoors. It’s not easy for us to travel and dine out, and this experience turned out to be a waste of everyone's time. Food: 4/5.
The wait for dinner for a party of 6 ended up being an Hour, so I would recommend 4 or less people. However once we were seated, everything was great. Our particular seat was next to a bunch of old books which I thought was an amazing touch for therestaurant. This book from 1923 was just sitting there and an incredible record of WW1. The Tacos are Tiny but Terrific, andpriced accordingly. The ordering system is a little bizarre. I would go again if Mosaic was more convenient for me.
This restaurant is located in the Mosaic district, so be prepared for a crowd and some challenges with parking. It's got a slightly hipster vibe, but the food is delicious. The drinks are fantastic, and everything is offered à la carte, which can be a bit pricey considering the portion sizes, but the quality is excellent. The service was good, and the place was clean. I won't be returning. The tacos were somewhat gimmicky but decent. However, I found the hidden mandatory tip included in the bill to be quite frustrating. The only interaction you have with the server is when they bring your order, which you place using a URL on your phone. For that, a 20% automatic tip is added to your bill, but this isn't revealed until you're ready to pay.
Bartaco is a fantastic find that suits any occasion—whether you need a quick bite, a cozy date, or a fun happy hour with friends. The glazed pork belly tacos are a highlight, and their cocktails are not only adorable but also delicious. This place seamlessly blends excellent food, a laid-back atmosphere, and delightful drinks, making it a top pick for all kinds of outings!
The food here is outstanding, set against a lively atmosphere, and the menu is considerate of various allergens. The staff is attentive and will make sure you don’t make any mistakes when ordering once you share your specific allergies. Although I may not be back in the Virginia area for a while, this restaurant is definitely one my family will happily revisit.
