WOW! what a surprise and change in scenery. The new fit out and expansion of the seating area is fantastic. A hidden suburban treasure. Mid-week and the atmosphere was that of a busy inner-city  restaurant.After tasting the food and paying the check, I understand why!!!  I am no stranger to Chinese food after living there for a year.  This is arguably the best and tastiest cuisine I have had the pleasure of eating outside of China itself. I highly recommend visiting this establishment hungry. Your taste buds and entertainment expense budget will appreciate it. Great food, great atmosphere, great value. Well done Bateman Chinese Eating House. I'll be back...... often.

I've been visiting this restaurant for years, and the quality of the food has consistently remained excellent. Be sure to try the Fish Wing Mee Hoon soup. While the soup itself is fairly standard and not particularly remarkable, the fish is outstanding—generous portions of meat, perfectly fried. The recent expansion and renovation have really enhanced the dining experience, making it feel like a proper restaurant. I highly recommend it!

Used to be a small restaurant but now it’s bigger and vibrant than ever. Make sure you come before 12pm as the fish wings are amazing!<br/ <br/ Had both the Fish Wing Mee Hoon and the Kuey Teow and cant compare which was better. Both dishes were full of flavor and large portions. Fish wings were meaty and had enough for two to share. Definitely worth the wait as it’s quite busy on weekends, but book ahead so you don’t miss out.

One of my favorite chinese restaurant specialised and famous with their fish head! Coming at lunch time you get a big bowl of fish head in curry soup with noodle or rice options for only $12.50. The portion is very generous and you are guaranteed full and have super delicious meal too! Yes, their gish head is a must try! The place was recently renovated allowing more space and nicer atmosphere too! Réservez une table maintenant

This place never failed you. They’re famous for their Assam curry fish head and it’s always really good and authentic Malaysian style! Their stir fry bean sprouts and fried rice was really tasty and has a lot of flavour to it. Their tofu is also really good we couldn’t get enough of their food and kept coming back! Food also came out really quick. Good place to go for a group eat.

We have been going here for years for the assam fish head curry dish. I haven’t found anything like it anywhere else in Perth. The broth of the curry is so flavoursome and fish is so crisp. We also had the sambal kang kung and sesame prawn toast which were both tasty too. Highly recommended!

The restaurant has undergone an expansion, making it larger and now offering more dining tables. I no longer have to wait in line when I visit. Their signature dish is the fish head noodle soup, which is also quite delicious. The staff is quiet yet friendly.

The Pei Pa Tofu and Sabah Veg/Sambal Spinach were exceptional. It felt like dining at your favorite aunt's house, where she's effortlessly trying to outdo the rest of the family, but without any fuss or drama. Réservez une table maintenant

This place is well known for their fish wings mee hoon soup which I totally agreed with, definitely the best one in town. Been here quite often and this little restaurant was always busy.

Very nice food with a wide range of menu items to choose from. Convenient location and now full renovated interior. Food could be considered pricey but often well worth the cost.
