My mate and I both agree that this was our favourite restaurant in our short stay in Germany. We chose the restaurant based on previous TA reviews, and the fact it was pissing down with rain and was relatively close by. This place exceeded all...expectations. You know a place is good when the local's pack it out! Service was friendly and attentive and the food was top notch. Would high recommend the Weiner Schnitzel. Our total meal came to euros for a Weiner Schnitzel, Turkey Steak, Beers and Cocktail. The food was terrific and accompanying salads were fresh. Would not hesitate to return here and recommend to others staying in the Berg Am Laim area.
Lovey place very cosy. It felt and was a warm and friendly atmosphere. Food was some of the best we had in Munich. Staff were fantastic. Puddings are limited in choice and one is strange (pottatoes). Went in for a drink and went back because...of the Menue. The schnitzel I had and the steak my wife had were fantastic. And the apple fritters and kaiserschmarrn were fantastic. It was these I wanted and went back for and was not disappointed. There is only one down side to this place. It is a long way from home to make a regular eating place. The next visit to Munich we will return.
A place that seemed nice but appeared to be just a junk-food restaurant. I had a quesadilla I guess that the two owners went once to Acapulco on a charter trip and decided they knew how to combine basic products bought at a hard-disounter to...produce this dish (note thet I have lives in Mexico)... My wife had a steak. Not bad, just average, it came with medium cooked potatoes. And, finally, there is no credit card, the girl sent me to the bank...!
After a full day in sightseeing in Munich we went back to our hotel, but wanted a meal to end the day. This restaurant was about five minutes walk from our hotel and we found it by chance. Staff friendly and food excellent and cooked...to order. Pork Cordon Bleu my choice. Reasonably priced. It’s only small and well used by locals so after a reservation may be needed. A little off the Beaten track but worth seeking out. Réservez une table maintenant
We came on working day right after opening, and all the tables had been reserved. But we were offered to take one with latest reservation time. We also got awesome beer straight away. In addition to enormous main course each of us got extra plate...of salad. Everything was well cooked and delicious. We especially enjoyed beef(r) because of its extreme freshness and rich taste. We were pleased with the service as well.
This place is an absolute hidden gem, I cannot rate it enough, the staff are super friendly and made sure I could have a gluten free meal. They also asked about England and talked to us about the Royal Wedding, even when it was busy...they were attentive. Food is amazing! Locals are friendly, couldn’t rate it enough, love, love, love!
