I'm surprised at the 1* reviews on here because we've just come back from a meal in the Bavarian Beerhouse and we had a great time.The choice of beer, whilst not extensive, covers most of the bases, and is reasonably priced. For the full Bavarian experience try the Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse beer.The food was also tasty - we had the Bavarian Tasting Platter. What is lacked in vegetables it made up for in tasty meat, potatoes and gravy. True Bavarian fare. Whilst not quite up to the standard you would find in Munich, it's the best we've had this far south.It's true that service wasn't zippy but this was due to the fact that we were there early and there was only one person serving. While waiting at the bar for service, I was ignored while some drunks continued to eat up the waitresses time ordering a large round of shots. Once she received help, the drunks began taking up their time as well leaving us waiting for service. The staff were too concerned with bargaining over the price of drinks to take a simple order. We left without ordering.Horrible service, it was a first time visit and after this experience they won't be getting a second chance. Though I bet if you're a large group out to get drunk, they will fawn over you as alcohol is always the most profitable line in any restaurant.
Love hitting up the Bavarian for a good German beer. The service is left to be desired though. The bar staff lack professionalism, drinking shots, slapping and interrupting each other during drink orders. Stood at the bar for 15min waiting to be served. Noone else was even there and I still wasn't served. Is a shame because they do have good beer. Need to fix up service. Left frustrated.
me and two mates had dinner and a few drinks and it was amazing, the food looked awesome and tasted perfect, as we are from out of town we did not really know where to eat so just picked one and omfg so glad we did. I know the chef he ran the white bull in roma for a few years and he put that place on the map, so if u in cairns Bavarian beer house is the place

Went here for dinner. Service was good, staff helpful and friendly. We had schnitzels and they were served with mash potatoes and salad. The two scoops of mash was terrible, tasting like it had been made the day before and reheated. The "salad" was mixed lettuce leaves with a light dressing - it looked like garnish. Definitely not worth the price.
Good service, friendly staff, nice beer, but the food wasn't up to much. The nachos were burned, and so salty and so spicy that I could hardly eat them (and I'm a salt lover). The Salt and pepper calamari was too salty, too greasy and was a very small portion. The seafood basket was ok, if a bit heavy on the deep fried batter.
Dropped into the Bavarian beerhouse whilst we were on a recent holiday. If your looking for something a little different then you must check this place out and grab a 1 litre beer with your meal and you wont be dissapointed. The staff here are friendly & just great.
Jumped into the Bavarian on Origin night for a great meal. Crowded but good service and food. The Bratwurst and Schnitzels were great and the German Weiss beer was cold & delicious!

Checked out the specials and got a beer with the food (you will notice I like these deals when they are deals). Food was very good, price was ok too.
