I had high expectations because of the reviews and people saying it’s a must stop. I don’t know if things have changed or anything but it was just a kind of normal place with a gas station inside. I ordered just a bbq sandwich and potato salad with a sweet tea. Staff wasn’t super friendly, but not really rude or anything either. The sandwhich smelled and tasted strange and when we asked about it they said it’s just a slop they put on it that might smell, and when we said we wanted to refund that one the first lady was nice about it but the second lady seemed more offended. We didn’t mean to offend, just concerned about the smell. The potato salad was really good though, tasted fresh and sout...
First stop, as you come to the Greenville, AL area from the south, drive north to I65...after many miles from no stops. This combined gas station has a small BBQ restaurant, 'grub mart'/snack area, as well as an alcohol (beer/wine, etc.) section. The bathrooms were large and clean. The older woman (owner) behind the counter was friendly and showed my wife a new (touch pay) trick for paying with her debit card when the chip 't properly read the first attempt. You even had an old school, guests 'sign-in 'book... if you took care of seeing how far people were traveling there. Definitely a "stopp" shop.
This restaurant is located inside a gas station! But the country food is delicious and portions are huge. You Can eat in our carry out. We stop every time we are traveling through. For $12.99 you get a huge portion of bbq or other meat, 2 country sides, bread and a drink. Enough for 2 meals if you are a regular size eater. Vegetarian options: The vegetables have pork added so there are few vegetarian options. Maybe come slaw and baked potato when they have them.
