We had a very enjoyable night at Beaches Restaurant. The staff were very helpful and friendly and Jess was making the drinks and it was a very busy night but she still made the best Black Russian's and Espresso Martinis.There was a good choice of meals for dinner with the nights specials and we chose the Seafood Platter and Roast Lamb.You have the choice of buying plates of additional sides to go with your main meal at about $8.00 per side.Unfortunately I was so hungry that night that I started dinner without getting a photo to share with you but from memory the Seafood Platter for one (at $40.00) had 4 steamed prawns with dipping sauce, Raw oysters with an amazing liquor sauce to pour over...
We were staying in the resort so decided to check out Beaches as its the only restaurant around this area. We had read a few negative reviews but were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and value for money. We love our food and were not disappointed. They have a buffet breakfast here each morning which is a great alternative to cooking or trying to find somewhere close by...there was a great variety of options and we thought at $15 a head, a steal! They had bacon, sausages, eggs, baked beans, hash browns, a great variety of cereals, bircher muesli, yoghurt, juices, toast, tea and coffee...what more could you want. Another night we chose to eat at Beaches to try their T-Bone night on...
As soon as we walked in, the staff were welcoming, the atmosphere was great with a much needed wood fire going. The food selection was awesome. Lots of local foods to choose from. And wine too. However. The medium rare steak I ordered was not. The staff offered to replace the meal but I was hungry. No other offer was made. I wanted the chef(cook?) to know it was over cooked. Nothing. We left thinking it was a great place to visit, and we, being locals would come back, but . . . Maybe a visit from the chef/cook would have made our visit a 10/10It was lacking a personal touch. Maybe someone who is invested in our local area and our amazing food/wine we have to offer would have made a differenc...
Its all about the food! The plates arrived - both holding medium rare steaks, one with veggies and the other with chips and salad. Wow! Both steaks were beautifully cooked and the meat obviously country killed, thick and juicy. Our waitress served our meals very well and checked in through our meal to make sure all was well and that we didn't need anything, Great experience, the best t-bone I have had in years. I asked my husband what he thought...............his response "Terrific"

Beutiful Ambience,Amazing Front of house,Food to die for.We have been welcomed by very warmly by the the staff and a fire.The food was a conglomerate of old and new,the slow cooked items were the best.Good lord almighty, the seafood tower a two story seafood legend.The special of Venison embracing Escofiers grandureand the Ratatoulle the mediteraininan herbed classic a night to remember.Thank you, Chef Ralf, Jess and staff for making it a night to be savoured.
We had our first meal at Beaches. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Warm and comfortable. The chicken parmigiana was the best I have had and the seasonal veggies were just what was needed. Hubby ate half of Tassie's seafood on the seafood tower! Thank you, most enjoyable. Will be back before we leave.
We were staying at the Ramada Resort adjacent to the Restaurant. We began with a lovely dip platter followed by a superb Seafood platter. The service and atmosphere were very good. Would certainly return on our next visit. Recommended.
