It was my friends birthday and I had noted that on the reservation. However the table we were given was a huge one, for 8-10 people (not for 4) and it made it difficult for us to speak to each other. There were other tables free as the restaurant was not full, so unsure why this one was chosen. We ordered wine and it didn’t arrive, we had to ask twice before it was delivered. We waited for ages and then asked for a menu, the waitress laughed when she found out “you were sitting here with no menu.” No apology. The food was great, the desert exceptional. But the table service was terrible. And even though it was my friends birthday and we ordered desert, no one bothered to place a candle on it...
Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable: it’s unusual for waiters to know the cocktail called Boulevardier. Also refreshing was the fact I ordered my duck medium and it was actually served medium: what a nice change! We loved the ambience of this restaurant: you can actually hear your partner talking without the hipster music drowning out your conversation. Great wine list which was also reasonable value for money.
The attention to detail and service was amazing. We had Scott assist us throughout the evening and he was great fun, full of knowledge and very honest. Bernard was a fantastic welcoming party and made the night !
Great atmosphere at Beckett’s ,loved the waitstaff dresses so well and the attention of the staff.The food was fantastic beautifully presented and so delicious. Will be back for sure

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance in a beautiful setting. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The service is polite, but it could be more attentive.
You can’t help but feel glamorous as you walk into Beckett’s. It’s a perfect setting for date night. Great cocktail, food wine list charming service.
I had an exceptional dining experience in a charming and historic building. The atmosphere was wonderfully elevated by the beautiful piano music.
Classic French cuisine executed perfectly, with rich and creamy sauces as expected. The atmosphere is lovely.
