I haven’t been to Beefeater in decades, and was of the opinion that the chain was a relic of 70’s (rather like myself . I was therefore very pleasantly surprised with the food when we had dinner with the children. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, the peppercorn sauce was seasoned well and the onion rings crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I stoically forewent the triple cooked chips to avoid calorie overload, but stole 2 of my wife’s which were good. I’m fussy about the quality of my meat, but these felt to be good cuts of meat, tasty and free from fat. There’s no place like home but this is a very close second......From ringing up on Saturday afternoon to see if by chance the Millfield had room to accommodate three adults for Christmas dinner, after our original arrangements went awry to us coming away full and very satisfied I couldn’t speak more highly of the staff here. Friendly, helpful and efficient. A warm and speedy welcome, drinks order placed and our starters delivered. Very tasty. We all three chose turkey dinner and after pulling our crackers and having the obligatory photo taken complete with party hats we were served our dinner. I stayed at the Premier Inn next door and decided to try the meal deal, which included a 2-course meal and breakfast the next day. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. The burgers were tasteless and the pudding was bland. The breakfast the next morning was also subpar - the hot food was not warm, and the continental section was dirty. The coffee machine looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. When I asked a young man working in the breakfast area to refill the cooked food, he was quite rude and said he would do it when he had time. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant as it is not worth the money or time. Service: 1, Food: 1, Atmosphere: 1.
Unfortunately this is the first bad review I’ve felt the need to share. Once food arrived after 50 minutes in the very quiet pub, we were less than impressed. The meat was a mixture of mostly tough and inedible or dry and mediocre. We weren’t expecting anything fancy but at least be able to chew the meat without causing an achey jaw. The manager wasn’t very helpful (to say the least) and was very unapologetic with the bad quality of their food. Actually quite rude to be honest. If it hadn’t been for him I wouldn’t have bothered to write this to be honest. The waitress, however, was lovely throughout!

We went here for a meal as it was close to a shopping outlet we visited, so glad we did. We go to many Beefeaters country wide and we must say on the night we visited this restaurant the meal and service we received was the best out of any Beefeaters we have gone to. Lovely staff, so friendly and polite, especially young man called Ollie, wonderful service, as to the food, it was well presented, very hot and tasted very nice. The only bad thing we can say, is we dont live near this restaurant. Thank you for such wonderful service and food, will definitely visit again in the future
Well what can u say it’s a beefeater Usual stuff food for everyone I had mixed grill had better rather small for the price tag really seemed a nice place had a early tea on a sat around 7 was not that busy was looked after well was just handy as stopped at premier in next door next time we come and we stop here we will try the fish and chip shop next door that looked good So overall over priced for what u got would not rush back to beefeater but it’s handy and will do a feed
This restaurant is excellent in every way. The service is top-notch, the dining experience is perfect for dinner, and the price per person ranges from £20 to £30. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a 5-star rating. Highly recommended dishes include the Mixed Grill. There is plenty of parking available, including a free parking lot.
Just stopped off as a coffee refuel to break up our long journey. Ended up having some chips with our coffee. Lovely clean surroundings in the establishment and the staff member who dealt with us (Sam T) was very nice and made sure all was ok with our chips and coffee.

Very pleasant modern building and quite busy with the Premier Inn next door. Evening meal was well cooked and served quickly. Beer was expensive for this type of pub. Breakfast was good but the hot food was quite cold.
