Went to Belly Busters, Surfers Paradise for dinner with my partner and the presentation of the food looked pretty decent. Upon ordering the waiter seemed disinterested and didn't actually listen to what we were ordering, having to repeat our order multiple times. My partner asked for two drinks and he turned to me and asked what I was going to have, he already ordered for me... when we got our food it looked like it was going to be really nice. I got a 350g rump steak with chips and sauce, while my partner got sirloin steak and baby back ribs. I asked for my steak to me cooked medium, as did my partner. Went there for lunch with a group of people. Took ages to be served ended up going to the counter to place an order. 1 of the orders was a steak cooked medium. It was charcol on the outside and brown on the inside. Only when you got right to the middle was it a touch pink. Advised waiter of how it was and he took it back and said he would get a new one. Another waiter came out a few min later and said that the chef cut it up and was happy with the way he cooked it. They then offered to bring it back to the table. We went there (2 adults and 1 toddler) on a Wednesday night last week as we were hungry and didn't have a lot of time to have a good look around. Service was good but the food was only average at best. Couldn't complain about the portion size, however, the quality just wasn't there. We also felt it was on the expensive side. $5 for a smallish glass of juice and $10 for kids fish'n'chips which consisted of a small serving of chips and one 10cm piece of fish seemed a bit much. My Chicken Parma was big but nothing to write home about, as was my wife's steak sandwich which she said had no flavour. Went for dinner with my partner and ordered steaks and chips for entree. Chips took around 30 minutes to be served even though the restaurant was almost empty. Mains took 40 minutes MORE to come, the waitresses noticed our order was delayed but avoided looking directly at us and didn't take any action or apologised for it. When the steaks finally arrived, despite of asking for medium rare, they were completely burned (even bitter) and dry. I also asked to have mine with mashed potatoes instead of fries and without previous notice from the waitress, was charged for it. Nobody asked us how was our meal or apologised for the delay. Felt overpriced and mistreated.

Four of us had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. Meals were good but overpriced for the standard served up. Service was fine but but a vegetarian nachos was served up containing meat. This was obvious to the person that ordered it and, to the waiter's credit, he picked up the error as he quickly returned to the table within a minute. Unfortunately by the time a replacement meal arrived, the rest of us had finished our meals. Probably would not go back.
Visited for dinner last night - opted for the blackboard specials as I thought the main menu was a little over medium price for cafe style foodPortion size was reasonable although the chips served on both meals were a tad over cooked. Mushroom sauce on the other hand was tastyService was attentive and friendlyGood for a quick bite and casual food options only.
I ordered the vegetarian breakfast which was $15.95 . Both of my poached eggs were hard, i couldn't eat them. Surely poached eggs should always be soft unless you specifically ask for hard eggs. The mushroom and feta was nice. I left hungry so won't go back.
Belly Busters is an average place to visit for breakfast. I ordered the Bruchetta with bacon and sausages on the side. The sausages were not very nice, The Bruchetta was ok and the bacon was grissly. I would not return to this restaurant for breakfast.

The food was satisfactory. I was hungry and found the lunch special to be filling. I ordered a 200g steak with salad and chips for $13.95, which I consider to be a reasonable price.
