I want to be clear that this is not on our chef. They were clearly new and in my opinion not ready to service a table. We had a reservation and ended up being the only two people at the table, which is fine. However, our chef did not provide us with the type of showmanship that is to be expected at this establishment (not even the bare minimum). Let’s be honest, half of the reason you go to this place is the food and the other half is the show. So, when you only get half of what you paid for, you end up leaving feeling scammed. Sisters dinner night out yesterday 10/13/23 turned into a nightmare. First time dining here since before the pandemic. We were so excited as we don’t come to this area anymore due to our moves and was so excited to eat! We even saved our bellies to come feast as we were that excited. The waiter’s tone of voice gave us all a feeling like he did not want to be there but we continue to think positive as we’re trying to have a good night. The food I got tasted good! But I went there for a small celebration but ended up having to wait half an hour to even get a table then, I had to wait around 20 minutes to get a worker to walk over, only to be told our server was going to be very late. But me and my friends were fine with waiting. But apparently I couldn't just get a few things the sushi and dessert, as well as drinks like I had Specifically asked for in the call I made before we got there. We ended up needing to be moved. Kristi was a fantastic waitress! Made sure we were taken care of. Was on top of refills and taking our empty plates away. She was very friendly and bubbly! Our chef Lee did an amazing job on the food and put on a good show! Thank you very much Lee! Thebathrooms there were not very clean and they were falling apart. 1st time trying Benihanas out. What a great experience! Our waitstaff was great and attentive. Our chef was great; Yamamoto I think was his name? You could tell he enjoyed entertaining our group. He did some great tricks and his food was perfectly cookedand tasted amazing.
