Benito's - Réservation de table

Where on earth to begin?! We were so looking forward to this....we drove 45 minutes from the Southern suburbs of Melbourne. An hour and a half of driving...3 hours of our lives tonight in total that we won't get back! The place was hard to find and dangerous to stop suddenly on the highway as the signage was very poor. We weren't even sure we were in the right place as the carpark was weird, dark, and the whole venue set out strangely....must have been a converted house. We finally found our way to the door and weren't greeted by anyone despite a couple of staff walking by. The place was draughty, even with the fireplace and heater on....we were very cold. We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids under 9) and had a great time dining at Benito's on 12/04/17. Food was excellent. My husband had the BBQ ribs which were cooked to perfection, I had the seafood board and my 3 kids shared 2 of the Benito's fish and chips. The servings were generous, the meals were delicious and the staff were attentive and lovely. Michael went out of his way to give our kids some colouring books and pencils and they were entertained and didn't make a fuss all night ensuring we had an enjoyable time dining with small kids. He even gave the kids some yummy ice cream free for great colouring! Thank you! We will be back!

A group of about 60 people had a forum at Benito's last night. We also arranged a choice of 6 or 7 Italian dishes from which to choose. I had the lasagne witha great Italian side salad which was superb...fresh tasty ingredients which were perfectly dressed with their flavoursome olive oil. Others at my table had other Italian dishes and we all commented how good the meals were. Table service was prompt and smiley. The 2 young ladies did a great job all night and also manned the bar. A very successful evening which everyone enjoyed I think.

First visit and impressions of Benito's where very good. We were all very happy with our meals especially my ribs, the meat just fell off the bone and so tender. I believe I gained a few extra ribs myself from the large serving. The service was good but could be improved because they were short on staff and looking to hire more. The venue itself very simple, plenty of parking in the back. All up very good food. Réservez une table maintenant

I could not speak highly enough of Benitos! The food is absolutely amazing! Steak night is a massive favourite of ours! The chef Rob is very talented to say the least, he sure knows what he is doing and the owner Jo makes you feel so welcome and you're ready to book your next visit before you leave. Our favourite restaurant in the peninsula for sure!

I am a big fan of ribs and honestly the ones I had at benito's belong in the top 5 easily. And that says something because I have tried a lot of ribs in my life :-) Great food and more than enough not to make you leave hungry. And if you still have room left after dinner I can reccomend having dessert as well.

Food was amazing, I had BBQ ribs ( incredible, great taste and meat fell off the bone), husband had porterhouse steak, friend has seafood platter, oldest son had Parma and youngest had kids pasta. All meals tasted great and were huge. Although we were completely full, we had to have dessert , will be back

We have been there a couple of timesBUTthis visit was BAD.As matter of fact NOTHING was good.Going there again ?I don't think so.Moody waiter.One person could not stomach the oily meal called "Carbonara".No egg, no bacon, we could not giving it a name. Réservez une table maintenant

Don't waste your time or money. My meal was horrible, when interrogated by the owner he took my fork and knife and cut into the meal accusingly. Seriously????????????Never again

Absolutely lovely family run venue. Italian delicious food! Highly recommend for lunch, dinner or special events. Extremely helpful with planning my wedding!
