Arrived for our lunchtime booking and our table was still full. We were escorted to a different area of the restaurant to wait until the table was free. Albeit the restaurant was near empty. We ended up staying at this table and joining other tables to it to make up our booking. Service was inexperienced, with the Maitre D offering little more than a half smile. The menu is very basic, almost pedestrian in offerings. The food was okay, but lacking in depth, flavour and expectations. Overall a disappointment given the view and position. Maybe a this is why the restaurant was only 25% full on a Saturday lunchtime. A real shame to think this is what as Melburnians we are offering the travelling/ tourist public. Won't be back, too many better choices.
Came here with my partner whilst on a mini break away from our home town in Sydney.The entire meal was delicious! We had a late dinner so we shared a three course meal with cocktails.The apple martini was absolutely delicious - not tart at all. The mojito was also very good.We had the wild mushroom arancini, the BBQ kangaroo and finished with the sticky date pudding.It was SUCH a satisfying meal! The arancini were absolutely delicious. The Kangaroo was tender and full of flavour - the jus was perfectly paired. And the sticky date with the butterscotch sauce was the best I've ever had in my life!Completely satisfying meal in a wonderful location with great service from the staff and lovely ambiance. Highly recommended!
I'd have given this restaurant a perfect score had there not been two small flaws. That said though they punched way above what we were expecting and I would strongly recommend as a dinner destination if you're looking for a bistro style meal with that little bit extra. The service was the best we've experienced in a week of dining out in this glorious city.
We had a family dinner at this restaurant. The cocktails are very good; the Strawberry Daiquiri is a treat. The dishes are plentiful and of good quality. The service is fast and efficient. The view of the marina is superb. The only downside is the Metal Glass architecture resulting in a high noise level.
