We celebrated a birthday at this restaurant and were extremely disappointed. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we had to repeatedly grab the attention of the waitstaff to receive any service. The garlic bread with cheese was essentially a large pizza crust with cheese and garlic spread on top, which was not appealing. One of us ordered a calzone which was dry and lacking in filling. The wine, once we were finally served it, appeared to be watered down. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience and do not plan to return.
At first our table was very wobbly so we asked to move as no coaster was going to fix that.. our meal and service from start to finish was fantastic ! The starters were brilliant and would definitely recommend all of them ! Cant comment on desserts as we were too full to try one .. special thank you to Maddie who was lovely from the beginning and exceeded standard customer service.
My 3rd visit to Berts and as usual we couldn't fault it. Large party of people and they accommodated us amazingly. Food was not only delicious, but hot when it came to the table. Sophie was our waitress and she was attentive, polite and couldn't have done more to make our lunch just perfect. Thank you Berts and thank you Sophie. We'll be back again on our next trip from Kent. X
Went to Bert’s for first time on New Year’s Eve and had a lovely experience. Had sharing platter to start and it was large and delicious. Both opted for pizzas and then shared a brownie for dessert. Lovely fresh tasty food. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Seems a lovely setting but couldn’t see much as it was dark so planning to return in daylight Réservez une table maintenant
We chose to eat from the Christmas Celebration Menu I had Sea Bass and my friend had Turkey. Both meals were beautifully cooked and presented anf were delicious. We both also had Sticky Toffee Pudding with ice cream, which was very yummy. We were well looked after by Jodie during our meal.
