Been coming here for years and finally reviewing. Took my mom here since she likes the different flavors compared to other options in the area. We both got BYO vegan bowls. Their noodles and sauce specifically are super tasty and the employees are always generous with the veggie toppings. Their drinks are great too, and free refills are the way to my heart. A great spot for a quick lunch or casual dinner especially if eating with omnivores around the burbs. Updated from previous review on 2022-11-19
Yes, we love it from the week they opened. Yes, the atmosphere is great brings back memories from Asia. And yes, as a regular place in Japan the miso soup is not vegetarian. They have done a great job of having the list of ingredients available, so check with it. UPDATE (Jan.2019): A few months ago they made sure the miso soup has no fish in it! I had the japchae noodles with tofu, carrots, corn, kale, and black beans. I also had the Sesame Ginger and Teriyaki sauces which were both delicious. I’ve never had kimchi before, and it was alright. I’m kind of picky so that’s probably why. It was delicious and I would totally eat it again. Updated from previous review on 2020-09-06
Four stars because only vegan places get five. But other than that, the menu is very clearly labeled as vegan or not. I like to get the Japchae noodles with every vegan topping (including V kimchi, which is rare) plus free miso soup! Also lots of good sauces. Highly recommend if you're near Woodfield.

ordered a tofu shell, with bor, gurke, mais, kale, kartoffel and, purple rice with teriyaki also a side of the strawberry and pineapple. all the fruit and vegetables were super fresh and tasteful. if they are looking on their website, they have marked nutritional information with vegan ingredients.
I had a bowl of cauli rice, greens, kale, carrot, mushroom, moochae. With gochu sauce on top. All excellent. Just the right portion size and a free miso soup on the side. I would choose this over chipotle any day!
Would rate 5 stars if I could. Great vegan options tofu, japchae noodles, miso soup and kimchi is confirmed vegan. The kale topping is great. I really love this place.
good place to stop when they have an omni with them. everything is very clearly marked and the pudding is also vegan and delicious. in any case recommend.

they have a pretty good choice of vegan options. mostly sweet and tofu. it is delicious and they can not beat the price.
Build your own korean style bowl. The tofu and potatoes are delicious. Wish i had one near by
