I was recommended by a close local friend to come to BierHaus and I was not deceived. The main motivation was to drink the local Kölsch bier, which was very good, but also had the opportunity to taste a delicious plate of the day, which...used to be cooked by the grandmother's waiter, according to him. I fail to remember the name of the German plate, but it was pretty much a marinated beef with a tasty dark sauce with some baked potatoes with some authentic ingredient that would make them much tender than usual. And it was also served with some apple compote, which I was not sure how to mix it but it fit well as a light dessert for me! I have also to say that sitting on a terrace on a Sunday...
Visited this place as part of a stag weekend... Weather was nice and we were looking for a riverside place to have a beer.. We found a table outside which sat all and ordered beers all round.. The waiter was initially quite sarcastic and...ripped our mate for having a coffee.. however after a while we realised he was very funny! We were gonna stay for a couple and ended up having beers! We also ate whilst there and the food was incredible.. In fact it was the finest food we ate in a bierhaus all weekend! I had the currywurst... awesome! I strongly recommend this place!
The bierhaus looks nice and was casuel crowed but the service is unpersonal and takes long to get a beer or refill. The diner wasn't good (aspergus not cooked wel en untastfull patatos) The euro was way to much for that speciality I wouldn't...recommend going there, Köln has much better places to go.
Although we just stopped for a beer (Kölsch), the server was very helpful and gave us Beer for these visitors. Mainly, beer mats (coasters) out.....you get a nice cold beer.....mat ontop of glass....you're taking a break. Pleasant people watching from their heated outdoor terrace...here. Recommended.

Very professional staff, typical German food. All the dishes are tasty and, one thing is sure, you'll be more than full when leaving. Waiters are very friendly and bilingual, and there is a great variety of dishes to choose from! We'll come back without any...doubt! Price are reasonable too
We were on a day trip from Brussels and our guide recommended this restaurant to have authentic German food. I had the soup, my daughter had the sausage, sauerkraut with mashed potatoes and my husband had the rumpsteak with fries. Overall the meal was good...and service as good as well.
We stopped here for a drink in our day exploring the centre of Cologne. The staff are super helpful, the beer is delicious, and the view is excellent! Definitely a great place for a Kölsch or two!
Great location by the Rhine with seating overlooking the River. Fast and efficient service and cheap beer with a one size fits all approach.

Great. The haxe would have been able to get into the oven a little longer, but everything in all it was very delicious.
